ATLANTA, GA – After a distinguished 15-year tenure leading the Government Contractors Association (GCA), assisting over 16,000 organizations, and helping drive more than $2 billion in contract awards, Abraham Xiong has announced his retirement from leading GCA.

Effective immediately, GCA and the GovCon.Community will merge with the GovConAlliance.com. This strategic consolidation ensures that members will continue to receive world-class support under the new stewardship of GovCon Alliance Board of Directors.
Concurrently, Xiong will transition his full focus to Govafy.com, a new AI-driven software platform designed to automate and bring AI Agents to the complex workflows of government contracting.
A Strategic Handoff: The merger brings together the vast network of the GovCon Community with the operational depth of the GovCon Alliance. While the GovCon Community has historically focused on education and networking, the GovCon Alliance is renowned for providing the "in-the-trenches" execution support—including DCAA compliance, financial management, back-office operations, legal services, and cyber compliance—that contractors need to scale.
"Our mission to empower human potential hasn't changed; we are just fulfilling it differently," states Xiong. "I am stepping back from consulting to build the technology that the industry desperately needs. In doing so, I needed to ensure my members were left in the most capable hands possible. The GovCon Alliance members are practitioners who understand the financial and operational realities of winning government contracts."
New Leadership for a New Era: The leaders of the GovCon Alliance bring decades of combined experience in corporate finance, government compliance, and business strategy. Under their leadership, GovCon Community members will gain access to a broader suite of resources designed to bridge the gap between learning how to bid and building a compliant, profitable business.
"We are honored to carry the torch that Abraham has lit," says Kevin Hoskins of the GovCon Alliance. "Our goal is to continue the mission of creating access to opportunities by providing the infrastructure, financial guidance, and community support that allows contractors to not just win contracts, but to perform on them successfully."
The Future: Human Ingenuity Meets AI: This transition marks a bifurcated approach to industry growth:
The GovCon Alliance will focus on the people and process, providing the human expertise, leadership, and compliance support members need.
Govafy will focus on the technology, leveraging AI Agents and emerging tech to unlock opportunities and human potential.
"By merging the community with the Alliance and launching Govafy, we are ensuring that contractors have both the high-touch support and the high-tech tools required to compete in the modern era," Xiong concluded.
